Rhondda-Cynon-Taf Moodle Showcase
Submitted by imcaulif on 7 June, 2010 - 13:01Hosted by The Moodle Team from RCT & University of Glamorgan at ESIS, Nantgarw.
In April 2010 Rhondda-Cynon-Taf entered Phase II of the very successful Moodle project with nearly 70 schools involved and using Moodle for a wide range of activities to enhance learning and teaching at all stages. To celebrate some of the exceptional work that is going on, we are holding a seminar at ESIS on 2nd July.
The event will start with lunch and include presentations from primary and secondary schools, the special needs sector and an overview of how the Local Authority sees how Moodle will develop to support its work in raising standards. There will also be an opportunity to share what’s been learnt and pick up some Moodle Top Tips.
Learning Through Employment Good Practice Guides
The majority of HE-level work-based learning at the University of Glamorgan involves either work-based projects or work placements both of which aim to increase graduate employability. There are also work-based learning programmes for individuals already in employment providing them with the opportunity and flexibility to obtain a higher education qualification focused around their specific area of work. An example of this is the MAPD run by Glamorgan Business School.
Staff Support Resources
There are a number of resources we offer in conjunction with the Blended Learning Services team in Learning and Corporate Support Services. They are all detailed below.
